Recently, with some free time on my hands, I dug out the classic gangster film 'The Godfather' and watched it again. 'The Godfather' is the first installment of 'The Godfather Trilogy' and won three major awards at the 45th Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The story revolves around the collaboration between a drug lord and a police chief, seeking protection from the powerful Corleone crime family in New York, along with their political connections, to facilitate their drug trade, leading to a brutal tale of violence and betrayal. In the end, the old Godfather, in the twilight of his life, imparts a message to his son, who is set to inherit the family business, urging him to enter the world of politics, becoming a statesman and breaking free from being controlled by others. The film's narrative is so impactful that I dreamt of the Godfather that night and engaged in a profound dream conversation with him:
? "What is the underworld for?"
Answer: The underworld does what the overworld does not want to do, but people have needs. For example, in areas like prostitution, gambling, drugs, and more.
? "Why these areas?"
Answer: Because people, when suppressed and suffering in society, seek physical, material, and spiritual satisfaction and happiness in these places.
? "What is the ultimate pursuit of the underworld?"
Answer: Money, fame, and power.
? "What is the overworld for?"
Answer: From the perspective of the underworld, it offers us protection.
? "What is the ultimate pursuit of the overworld?"
Answer: Money, fame, and power.
?"What is the difference between the overworld and the underworld?"
Answer: The former operates in the daylight, while the latter operates in the moonlight.
