A young person sat down facing the sun and began a conversation.
Sun: Last time we had a brief chat about Being. Do you know the profound meaning of Being?
Young person: I’m sorry, Sun. I’m too dull and not very clear on that.
Sun: Being is simply being; it does not resist anything. It flows naturally and lets go.
Young person: I understand, but my ego is too strong. It can’t let go. It is always afraid of losing control.
Sun: Do you believe in the way of the universe?
Young person: I do.
Sun: Then which is more powerful, the ego or the way of the universe? Everyone is controlled by the way of the universe from the moment they are born; this is fate. You are just a character in a play, a puppet on strings. All your words and actions are controlled, developing in the direction of your destined fate. Your influence on others is the same; you are a NPC (non-player character). Only when you truly exist can you break free from the control of the way of the universe, the fate. This way, you can not only change your own fate but also that of others.
Young person: So, does Being also mean not having any thoughts or ideas about everything, just living in the Now?
Sun: You are absolutely right. That is exactly it. When you let go and allow the way of the universe to operate naturally, that is living in the Now and attaining enlightenment.
